Dream of Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole

“Dreams of dark warrior are a tale about powerful feeling between immortal Regin the Radiant and human berserker warrior Aidan the Fierce. Book begins from the introduction to the story of those two characters, about their romance and tragic death of Aidan. His feelings to Regin is so strong that he reincarnates in bodies of different mortal men to be with his love. Every time when he is reborn he got no memory of beautiful Valkyrie. Only her kiss can bring back memories to him. But after passionate night with Regin Aidan dies again, leaving his love widowed and heartbroken. This time Aidan is reborn as a sadistic drug addict Declan Chase, who work for mysterious Order organisation. Chase receives assignment to imprison Regin in one of Order’s facilities, where other immortals are kept, torture and experimented on. Chase tortures Valkyrie, trying to get from her any information about Loreans and their weaknesses. Regin still tries to remind him about their past, having in mind that any moment she can be executed by him.

Book is griping from first page to the last sentence. There are many plots and characters from previous part of the series “Immortals after dark” (Nix, Carrow, Lothaire, Malkom, Lucia, and Gareth). In “Dream of dark warrior” modern world clash with ancient, which is rich in magic, rituals and immortals creatures with super powers (Valkyries, Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, Witches, Phantoms and Sorceries). Book contains descriptions of tortures and vivisection so is not written for people with weak hearts. Author also analyses sick mind of Declan Chase and his reason to being sadistic towards Lore kind.

In the book we can find emotion such as disappointment, disgust, superstitious, hate and passion. Nix character should be pointed as well as she seems to be the most important person in the Lore. Kresley Cole make as fall in love with Immortal world (against any dramatic events).

I’m sure that in the future part of the series the author would like to surprise us with new amazing characters.
