If you have a computer with internet access and a telephone you could apply to work from home. Here are a few companies (that as far as I know are legitimate) allow you to work from home.
Before everyone starts clicking and applying just check whether you are suitable for the job or not. Don’t apply unless you meet the requirements of each company.
Alpine Access is a call centre company and was founded in 1998. Customer service representatives can work from home. You will need to meet their requirements for the internet access speed, style of your computer and a headset. Read the FAQs section first.
Convergys employs home based agents who answer incoming calls. Again you need to meet the requirements of the company so make sure you read the FAQs.
An online job directory with a good listing of jobs for freelancers. You need to signup which is free and then apply. Good range of jobs with a lot of variety too.
Freelancer is a website where you can find freelance jobs, this is great news for freelancers living in the UK. You need to register and have different options, you could get a free account or a paid account. Of course the paid account has more bonuses but the free one isn’t bad either. Free accounts allows you to apply for jobs which are older then 48 hours though which is a down point.
The above are just some of the wide number of companies looking to hire. Read as much as you can about the company, the job, the requirements and qualifications needed for the jobs and the technical requirements too. Good luck!

I’ve got to find a source of income to help support my household while in college, in an area where jobs are hard to come by. I’ll definitely check these out.
