Some articles are a couple of months before they draw your attention and consider them as good and useful. Still many just comment on a new article, while it might be nice to get a comment on something that you once wrote and that is still getting views.
Writers like to get comments on their work to improve. Yes, some articles are on line for a while. Still they might be great and relevant.
Why not comment on an not so recent article? A writer might love to get some feedback on his older work as well.
To be honest: it is even nicer to know that what you once produced is still liked.
So readers: when you read an article that you really liked, enjoyed, considered useful or that inspired you, do not mind telling the writer, although the piece might be on line for a while.
Even if the writer is not active anymore, or has not written here for a while, it might still be a nice thing to do. Actually, it might be an encouragement to get the good writers back here on Triond.
Keep in mind that you, the readers, are what keeps a writer going. If it were not for you, there might not have been articles to enjoy.
So when you read something you considered worth reading, please comment. You might bring a nice surprise to the writer of the piece and when the article is a bit older, this might be an extra encouragement.
Do look at the content and not at the date of publication, while you give your feedback.

Very good idea! I sometimes, when I have time, go back to a persons older article. I love to read so I want to read every article on Triond since all the writers are such good writers.

Nicely said. I try to comment on all the articles I read regardless of the age and I certainly appreciate any comment left for me. Thanks.

Great advice. I love looking at older articles and being commented on my older stuff. It motivates you and puts a smile on your face. Plus, it is a great way to communicate with an author.

Good idea. And one well worth pursuing.

Triond writers are more apt to comment on new things because they see them on their dashboards, but do not always have time to look up older works by those people. I find strangers that visit my sites seldom comment.

As Brenda said, we tend to comment on the new articles as we see them on our dashboard. but as you said, it is nice to comment on the older articles too.

I usually check out older articles if a writer hasn’t written anything new for a while. I agree that it’s good to comment on older articles too.
