Can a Writer Be Discovered on Triond?

A short article debating on whether a writer can be discovered by submitting articles on Triond.

Although I have been writing for approximately 6 years, I’ve only been publishing articles and stories on Triond for a short while, and have submitted just over 20 articles.  I am now at a stage where I am starting to wonder “will I ever get discovered on Triond?”

After long consideration, I believe that it is possible for a writer to be discovered on Triond.  For example, I have only submitted 22 articles since June 2009 and I have had a total of 583 viewings.  Now this may not sound like a great deal, but I have achieved this number of viewings, simply by people just stumbling across my work.  I have not really pushed to promote myself through networking – so with a little effort and self publicising, I believe this figure will increase exponentially.

In the 6 years that I have been writing, I have probably only managed to get 20 people to review any of my work, so to get 583 people to actively read my work, without having to send off any covering letters or manuscripts, I think is marvellous.

I am now working on promoting myself on Facebook, Twitter, Stumble Upon & Blogger with a view of upping the traffic to my articles, and getting my name more well known.

I believe that it is only a matter of time before one of my articles will be noticed by either a literary agent or a publisher – and then who knows where this will lead to?

I would encourage anyone who has thought about writing, to give Triond a go!
