Whether it is an online publisher–like Triond, Helium, or Associated Content–a personal blog, web site, or other Internet venue, born-again Christian writers produce an abundance of reading material for everyone. While there are forums to discuss the art of writing, until the fall of 2009 it has been difficult for born-again Christians to find one with a professional atmosphere that is God honoring and provides opportunity for fellowship without interference.
After noticing a desire among some Triond members for an area on the Internet for Christian writers, a writer secured forum space from FreeForums.org and established the Fellowship of Christian Internet Writers (FCIW). The URL for this online community is lciw.freeforums.org.

True Christians want to do their best for their Master. At FCIW, members can talk about grammar, writing problems, how to improve their writing and more. This online community not only deals with the aspects of writing, but offers the opportunity for a wide range of discussions. Critiques and article views may be requested, the realm of photography explored, and tools and tips posted.
Christians are called by Christ Himself to bring the Good News of His salvation to the lost, so FCIW has an area to discuss evangelism. Many Christian writers are actively ministering on various non-Christian forums. FCIW provides a cyber-haven where His ambassadors can chat, and pray about, the best ways to reach these precious souls.
Naturally, FCIW also includes an area for prayer and spiritual support. Members can post and pray over prayer request, share insights to the Holy Scriptures and more.
Each online publisher is unique, so FCIW members will find the forum has areas currently set aside for discussion on Triond, Demand Studios, eHow, Helium, Suite 101, and Associated Content. If a member writes for another online publisher not listed, they can always start a new topic area regarding that particular publisher.
While FCIW currently has all these areas available for discussion, there is also a place on the forum to discuss anything else.
The forum is relatively easy to use, and because the Body of Christ is worldwide, UTC time (Universal Time, Coordinated) is used in the community. Members can establish polls, upload images, and send private messages among other things.
Membership in FCIW is free. To be a member, one must agree with a very basic statement of fundamental beliefs crafted from a similar statement by the Association of Evangelical Pastors (AEP) of Dorchester County, Maryland. One must also agree with the rules for FreeForums.org and the disclaimer posted by the owner, as well as affirm that the work they do does not bring reproach to the Name of Christ.
Since the forum is only for Christian writers, those who join will find a professional, mature environment for discussion, prayer, fellowship and mutual support. If you are a born-again Christian writer who is serious about doing your best for Christ, desiring to hone your writing and evangelism skills for the King, and wanting to enjoy Christian fellowship, you are cordially invited to join FCIW.

Thanks for creating this site for us. I eagerly want to join the discussion. My only problem is my lacking of time and my job here. But I believe your site will be very useful for Christian writers.
