Here is the ultimate guide that tells you what exactly is popular on Triond and what exactly isn’t.
Have you ever wondered what you have to write on Triond to do the best? Or have you been waiting to write that one article that is going to shoot straight to the ‘Hot Content’ and gain loads of views? Fret not! Here are the ultimate dos and don’ts to picking the right topic to write on Triond.
Be it how to build your own doll house or how to lead a good life or how to take the best photographs, ‘how to’ articles have always been popular. People are willing to get more skills and perfect the ones they already possess so you will hit the target with ‘how to’ articles. Be warned though, no one wants to know how to make toilet cleaner so avoid very obscure ‘how to’s.
Health is a very popular topic. Everyone wants to take care of themselves so obviously they will be interested. If you combine health articles with ‘how to’ articles like how to get rid of acne or combat bad breath, you will gain loads of views – that is me speaking from experience. Other popular health articles are news related health articles that might spark debate. News related health articles often work their way to the top of Google’s page rankings (again from experience). However, beware! No one wants to know what astrocytoma is so don’t go on a 10 page speech about it. Avoid obscure disease information that no one really cares about. Health articles can also be fused with beauty or fashion articles, anything that deals with people looking good.
It is such a shame that creative writing and photography never does well on Triond and I learned this from experience. Ideally, these are the sort of things that should be supported the most, but hopefully in the future, Triond will work on it. AuthSpot and Picable hardly ever feature on the ‘Hot Content’. For the time being, don’t expect to attract loads of hits to it. If you want photos to do well, take a bunch of photos on a theme and create an article out of it. That way, you do what you like – photography – but you are paid how articles are.
Interesting, intriguing and hot news topics that are ready to spark controversy, interest or debate will always feature in the ‘Hot Content’ and will feature quite high on Google if it gets enough hits. The news is something every person reads or watches every day and everyone is interested in current affairs so exploit that to pick outrageous news articles. Be careful you don’t plagiarize though.
Writinghood has been made for one reason. For us. Any articles on how to get the most hits on Triond or how to earn a lot, best sites to gain views for a blog are ALWAYS popular because we as writers on Triond are hungry for that extra slice of success. If that means signing up to a hundred different sites, we will! A note of warning – articles about writing on Triond or Bukisa never really feature on Google a lot and the audience for those articles will be restricted only to the network of Triond or Bukisa. Those who don’t know what Triond and Bukisa are (without doubt, out of 6 billion people on this planet, there will be loads), they won’t have a clue what you are talking about.
Another popular trend is the ’10 Things…’ articles set. These articles range from trivia and amazing facts and figures about animals to ways how to have a good night’s sleep. It is a bit like ‘how to’ but anything with 10 things does well, be it weird and wonderful cars (like one that I did that had AMAZING success). Of course, the 10 things can be even 15 things or 21 things or something starting with a number but be careful that you aren’t making silly points just to fill up the 10 or 15 spaces that you set yourself. The ’10 things’ articles can also be substituted with ‘dos and don’ts’ articles – like this one! ‘10 things’ articles combined with humour will do even well.
These are slightly different from ‘how to’ articles in the sense that these are normally linked to Socyberty. Advice articles are all to do with society and how to basically lead a happy life. What sets this different from the ‘how to’ articles is the fact that advice articles will tell you want is right and what is wrong. Again, don’t ramble on forever or give false advice.
A lot of you would have found that last month and this month will be quite successful for you in terms of earnings and views and that is because you might have written on TheRealOwner or AThingForCars. These new sites are paying a lot of money for views till the 31st of October so grasp this opportunity with both hands. Any new sites will market their articles loads so that they look good to everyone so you will notice you will get a lot of views as well as earnings. Even if these topics don’t interest you, still write on them because it will bode well for you.
Quazen, is a very wily sister site of Triond. Sometimes, you will find that any articles published on it end up being amazing but sometimes, they aren’t that popular. If you’ve ever wondered why this is, unfortunately, I can’t explain it. Quazen features anything and everything so when you actually do post something there, make sure that it is an interesting topic that you think people would like to know about. The danger with Quazen featuring everything is that sometimes, your article might go unnoticed unfortunately, but if you are good with the topic, you will hit bull’s eye.
Scienceray will be dominated by most of the people who are science savvy so don’t expect to find anyone there who doesn’t understand science very much. Even though your fans and friends will comment on any Scienceray articles you write but a lot of the times, you will eliminate a lot of your reader population by choosing sciency topics. If you are talking about animals then maybe people will accept it more. But if you are trying to explain something difficult like quantum physics or the Doppler effect, you might put people to sleep.
A title is the doorway to success. Have a boring title, no one will want to read your article. Have something snazzy, and it will succeed loads! I’m speaking from experience again. Titles are the most important part of your article, more than the actual article itself.
Hope you take all I’ve said on board and by mixing two or more of these tips, you can create your ‘Hot Content’ success.

Amazing tips Atikins, you always put great effort into your articles and present them well.
I must agree with posting short stories on Triond – or in fact any stories here will not get a lot of views.
This does not discourage me from writing my stories as I do it on a seperate site, you’ll find in Bio. Been a long time member there, don’t wana quit on em now ha!
Another great post!

I agree. If the title is catchy, then it will make the reader want to read. One of my stories on job experience has already 200 hits in 2 days. Great story.

I wish I had the time to write articles AND take pics….I just don’t! I’ll suffer for my art as usual!!! lol

Your article made me feel a bit sad. I compare the amount of hits with what my wife gets on Youtube on her music video’s. Wish I got hers on my stories! She gets 15,000 and more and I’m happy with every new reader!
Your article is an eye opener.

Nice article. My key issue is with the last item; it is sometimes a challenge to come up with an inviting title.

Excellent advice Atikin about using your photos in articles rather than putting them on picable!
September 18th, 2009 at 10:44 pm
Thanks for this.
I have noticed that my fiction pieces just don’t do as well. I wish there was something I could do about it.
Part of the problem is that it is harder to convey the topic of the story in the title in the same way that you can in an article.

Very good analysis. It does give me a better in sight of what articles will do well in Triond. We need more of this kind of articles. thanks for sharing.

Interesting article and I agree with most of what you say, but the only real way to get an article to do well on a long term basis is to write a really good one.
If it’s good it will get picked up by search engines and other big websites. Quality is the most important thing if you want to earn long term from your work.

That’s true, how-to articles including recipes are the one that get most hits if it’s well written and unique.
I think Runescape article is also get most hits. Most of the hits I got is from there when I stopped writing for one month.
Nice article!
