A writing exercise that will help you to produce article titles in minutes.
You really can generate article titles in minutes. “How do I do that?” you may be asking.
I receive many emails from other writers asking me about writing. In a recent letter, a writer asked me how I come up with so many ideas for my articles.
Normally, I’ll write an article first, then scan through it for a title that sums up the thrust of my piece; however, in a reverse scenario, there’s another neat way to generate article titles, which naturally spawns article ideas.
This writing exercise takes just minutes but it is a great way to kick creativity into high gear. Read on for tricks for generating article titles. Print this off later so that you’ll have it beside your computer when you are ready to try this for yourself.
Let’s take a random word such as “weird.” Now, you are going to combine it with another word. Start with the first letter of the alphabet and work your way all the way through. Write quickly and if you are stuck simply move on. When you are finished you will have generated up to 26 possible article titles.
Please get started on your list before reading through my list below. These are the article titles I generated in minutes using this technique.

Nice write up, but after having posted nearly 60 articles here and getting on average 3-4 comments for each one, obviously I am doing something wrong even with catchy titles/headlines.
