Improve your writing

Are You Writing Your Article for the People or for the Money?

Useful questions to ask yourself that can help you dramatically improve the quality of your articles.

I wanted to write this kind of article long ago. My purpose here would be to motivate people to start writing better content.

We all know that writing more articles for Triond gets you more money. But, have you ever thought if the article you wrote will give some value to people who are reading it.

I think that we should all focus on providing value to our readers. Considering the fact he (the reader) is spending time to read and get some benefit of our article should be great motivation.

After all, it’s not about the money. It’s about the value we’re providing to people. The more value you provide, more trust you gain. More trust you gain, you have more people that want to read your articles.

A great question would be to ask yourself: How will they benefit from reading my article? How will their life be better? After reading my article, will they get something valuable from it? Something they can use and apply immediately or help them?

Think about it. There is a very powerful lesson in all this. By providing value, you provide a benefit for the reader and for the editors of Triond who, of course, want to have quality content on their sites.

So it’s win-win situation. Now, before you write anything, just before you write, ask yourself: How will this provide value for my reader? Good luck!

This is very true, although i doubt people will listen to this no offense. People who use triond and sites like it are in it just for the money.

I always tend to ask myself before I write any article: Is this going to be useful for my reader? Believe me, it helps a lot!

There shouldn’t be such a big philosophy behind this, it’s all very simple…write as best as you can.

I am not writing for money. I am writing to express myself and to share that with others. I benefit more from creating that inspiration for others then from a meaningless number of hits per page. Do you really want to create something that is useless to the reader? more junk on the internet? I believe that we create energy when we write. A article that is created out of greed, and is poorly constructed takes good energy away from the reader. So how can that reader give you good energy (or money) if you take that away from them?

    Hi David,

    Thanks for the encouragement.

I’m not writing just for the money, because I’m at the cent stage on Triond. However, it will be great to get money for my work. If you are putting forth good work to help people, it’s a great blessing to get paid. I expect to get paid. You’ll get what you expect.

    Good job.

For me personally, I am forty eight years old, have been penning since the age of eight. Being tossed out in the trash, after being injured on my job in Radiology, being disabled doesn’t feed my family very well. And having several broken thoracic vertabrae, grand mal seizures, and a broken dream, my writing is all I have left. Writing and publishing books for children, and my original poetry is something that I have worked on for many, many years. I am in it for the money, but if I don’t write interesting pieces, there is no hope for me to EVER make any money. We are ALL on TRIOND for the same reason.

    Hi Dave,
Is this one tip that you would like to share for me. It does help, and it seems like this may be the wrong site for me. Maybe I should stick to poetry.com where that is all people expect.
    thanks~
