An Overview: Writing Sexy Flash Fiction
My erotic stories constantly get lots of hits.
Hello, my brother and sister writers. It’s the Old Soldier spreading the word about writing flash fiction in general and sexy flash fiction in particular.
Of all the pieces of content that the Old Soldier has on Triond, and there are well over 600 pieces, the sexy flash fiction stories outperform the articles and poems by a large margin. This should not come as a surprise to anyone.
But many writers who want to write sexy stories make a couple of mistakes that keep them from maximizing the effectiveness of their work and therefore depresses how well their sexy stories do.
The first misconception is that all a writer has to do is to describe a sex act and it’s a short story. The truth is, a sex act is not a short story. It’s just a sex act. A story has a beginning, a middle and an end.
And here’s the most important part: a short story is about a significant event.
If a husband and wife are enjoying some love making in their bedroom as usual, there is nothing significant about that; but if they are making love on a sandy beach on a hot summer’s night for the first time in their marriage, that could be significant because it could signal some kind of attitude change in their love making.
You see what the Old Soldier means?
And once a writer proves that he or she really knows how to write sexy flash fiction and writes it well, word gets around.

Excellent points and advice for all writers. Sexy is hard in my opinion. I have lead up to the lovemaking but not written about it yet. That may be my next task. Like the play on words sexy and hard.
