If you use Facebook, you can add the Triond application so that friends and fans find your articles.
Facebook is a great program for finding and making friends; however, Facebook is more than just a social stopping place. Facebook can be used to promote your Triond articles.
How to Add Your Triond Articles at Facebook
- If you’ve already joined Facebook, you are one step ahead of the game. If not, go to Facebook and create an account.
- Save Facebook as a shorcut to your desktop so that with one easy click, you are taken to the Facebook site.
- Once you log-in, you are taken to Facebook “Home.”
- If you look over on the right, you will see two boxes entitled “Requests” and “Applications.” You’ll want the latter.
- At Applications, click on “Edit.”
- A box will pop up showing different Facebook applications you can add.
- Look over to the right where it says “Browse More Applications.” Click on that.
- You’ll see a box entitled “Search Applications.” Type in Triond and hit Enter.
- When the Triond picture comes up, click on it.
- Another page will open, which says: “This application is where Triond and Facebook connect.
Using this application you can share content you published on Triond with your friends on Facebook”
- Click on the blue box that says “Go to Application.”
- Select “Allow Access.”
- You’ll be asked what you want to show on your Facebook profile page. Choose: “Show your content.”
- Make sure you click on “Save Settings” and you’re done! You’ve added your Triond articles at Facebook.
Now your Triond articles will show at Facebook. Neat, eh? People browsing through your Facebook pages will find your Triond articles and read them.
Adding your Triond articles at Facebook takes minutes but will pay off over the long term.

You are right Athlyn, Facebook can be a great place to showcase your writing. You can also spotlight your latest articles with text/link in your Facebook status–similar to a recommendation you made in a previous article you had written on Twitter.
If much of your work is in the same genre, consider joining Facebook groups on that subject.
Facebook can be a great place to market your articles!
Great article Athlyn.

Hi Ken,
Yes, your advice about including links is sound. I’ve seen your articles in my Facebook since adding you and I’ve posted links in the box.
The Facebook groups are also a great idea. I’m part of a number of Facebook groups and by commenting and posting article links, this has increased my blog readership. Thanks for mentioning this.

Hi Athlyn, how are you?

Hi Everyone,
You can also include a link to your articles where it says to include or post a link, this then goes out to all your contacts.
Also, copy/paste your article URL, write a Title, then include it at Twitter.
Thanks for all the comments.

I struggle with facebook, and I’ve tried twice to hook up to triond. I’m hooked up but cannot see anything

Hi Brian,
Facebook is a great program. I joined but failed to see the potential. My duaghter used it all the time and pointed out that you can send mail, instant message, swap photos, add friends, etc.
Once I took a second, closer look, I was hooked! It may seem confusing at first but once you get on to using it, it is invaluable.
I like the fact that you can add a link and send out same to your friends and contacts. Ken Gack does this regularly, which makes it easier for me to find his articles and give them exposure. He writes excellent material and I like that I can support his work, right from Facebook.
Just keep at it and you’ll find, over time, that it gets easier.
If you are having trouble using Facebook, read my articles which walk users through how to add Triond articles to Facebook.
Good luck!

Doesn’t work anymore, due to the changes, could you maybe edit it to work?

Triond has now added functionality so that Triond articles are automatically posted to Facebook. You should see this when you sign in to Triond.
