Shutdowns, Site Problems.

Writing and publishing articles had and always been so routine, you just have to do it all over again and everything is built up in your system. Watching your article being commented would be the next thing to do and if you are human enough to return the favor so that this wonderful online relationship between fellow writers lasts for long then you would probably endure the long hours commenting as you do in writing (or much longer). This act of commenting would test your mettle if you’re really serious about maintaining the balance in your blog life. Since a series of program malfunctions, shutdowns, site problems (which becomes the way of life at Triond) would likely end your temporary found pleasure, you may end up embarrassed to ever restart you computer again.
#init/tabs=web%2cpost…. is another issue which I couldn’t completely blame on the site or my computer’s anti-virus software. I don’t know if other members have come across this matter in the process of commenting to other member’s post. The signs will be easily detected by the moment you click upon other member’s post at Authspot (or other Triond affiliated sites) and the same article pop-ups in succession until you have made a move what to do with it. The only solution I could resort to would be to click Ctrl + Alt +Delete to activate the task manager and thereby stop the multiple operations being performed by my computer behind my control. Well, you have to be actually good with your fingers clicking on the end task button at the task manager’s window in multiple clicks as the task manager’s window gets overlapped by the article’s ever repeating pop-up screen. Trying to get a click on that end task button being covered by the pop-up screen would be the mother of online embarrassments. So if my circle of writer-friends here at Triond would be enraged by my failure to return the favor for quite sometime, don’t be dismayed. I’m just trying to get my hypertension under control while I get the utmost timing to pop up again online and return to commenting.

It is so annoying when you have written a thoughtful comment then you get an error message. That has happened a lot recently.
November 7th, 2009 at 5:40 pm
Yesireeeeeee I think we all feel you on this one
November 7th, 2009 at 5:54 pm
I’m with you on this!

I want to help you so I can continue to see your well written posts. When those annoyances affect me adversely, I most often times leave my machine so the processes can take the necessary time to complete their task. Generally after a cup of tea, I return to find things settled a bit. When they happen again and again, I abandon a comment I hoped to leave and click on the “I like it” button and send a private email to my fellow author and let them know I was there on their material, but could not leave a comment.
If my time does not allow to send emails, I keep reading their posts and someday the problem will be remedied.
Try not to get too upset. I will still read your articles even if you don’t read mine. I know the problems are not nice, but hardly worth getting hypertension from, my friend.

Don’t worry, Will. Stuff like this happens. There will always be glitches, though Triond seems to be making it a nasty habit. Argh!! Anyways, I always look forward to your comments. You are a great commenter, Will!

It is just like with computer music…… I can compose faster and have more access to different sounds. But sometimes, SOMETIMES all the computer glitches make me miss analog recording…

I have the same problem and it’s so frusterating. Also when you get the error sign and your comment won’t go in even after a half dozen clicks. That said, I believe things have been better lately. At least I get most of my comments in.

we all have to deal with it,there’s no such perfect system, nice one kabayan

I love reading and commenting. It makes everyone a better writer…..although I do get those frustrating moments of dysfunctional pc’s as well. Drives me nuts! I guess we all have those moments of server madness. I’m with ‘ya DB!

I have often had it happen where a post opens up over and over, for me the only method of putting an end to it has been to shut off and restart the computer.
I find this happens most if I try to shut a window down before it says DONE, so have to be most careful.
with dial up everything is a labor.

What you say is scary. I hope it doesn’t happen to me.

The best thing about writing articles is to interact with co-trionders and exchange of information, as put forth in your article.A very nice article.

I’ve been lucky not to have this problem so far. I just have to log-in twice before I get in.
November 8th, 2009 at 12:32 am

Oh yes! I suffer with all of these faults, though not so much since I last updated my Internet Explorer. I feel for you my friend and hope you sort out your problems soon.

I think your computer is out to get you Will, I would keep a sharp eye on it if I were you! or you may find it has wired into your brain and is opening your mail and drinking your tea!

Can be so very frustrating! I have much better service with Firefox.AND I try and click as many times as it takes tfinally submit my comment. It can be trifling a little to type out this reply at SU that I really want to get to the writer and the inbox is full. Oh well I try and leave a comment when I am allowed. We just keep on going. Inspiration is the key. Thank you for sharing and hurry and get the kinks out!

I was facing a problem at Triond yesterday. The article links couldn’t be clicked either. Hmmm, such a nightmare!
November 8th, 2009 at 5:57 pm
Excellent…
November 8th, 2009 at 7:35 pm
Oh god yes, you’re sooo right. it’s happened to me before.
great article by the way
November 9th, 2009 at 5:21 am
I totally agree with you Will. And if you had to this that it takes hours to open an article and another hour to leave a comment, I think, like many here, that triond has to do something about it! And we’re talking about the rest….
Take care my friend!
November 9th, 2009 at 5:51 pm
Fortunately I have never run into this problem at triond but have on other sites so I know exactly what you mean Will! I liked your write as always and you had some major points about bloggin in there that kind of opened my eyes! Excellent write but I expect no less from you my friend!
November 12th, 2009 at 8:52 pm
I know what you mean. I have had that problem quite a few times. That really does get annoying to have to ekep shutting down so much because of all the pop ups. I thought I was the only one going through that.
