You can increase your Triond earnings without doing any extra work. Here’s how.
Those of you who already try to make a bit of extra money on your blogs by using Google Adsense will know how hard it is. The pennies tick up very slowly. It has taken me almost three years to get mine up to a level where it is paying a reasonable amount each month.
Now Triond has come up with an idea. You can choose to add Google Adsense to your articles. The adverts run alongside your work and when they are clicked on, Google pays out. You share the revenue 50/50 with Triond. If you already have an Adsense account you can used that account and if not, you can open a new one.
On your dashboard you will see your total for this month’s revenue and a fresh figure will appear underneath telling you how much Adsense revenue you have made for the month.
There is a snag here. You have to wait for the Adsense payout. To get paid you have to have $100 in your account, or if you are paid in sterling £60. I don’t see this as a problem because your revenue is building all the time without you having to do anything. It doesn’t affect your normal Triond revenue.
I have heard horrendous stories about Adsense not paying out and all kinds of things, but I am paid regularly by them. They are strict on fraud though and anyone who thinks they can scam the system by clicking on their own ads will get caught by the very sophisticated Adsense software, their account will be closed and they will not be paid.
So, the more articles you write and the more readers you have, the greater the chance of you getting Adsense revenue too. It’s there, it’s easy to set up and you don’t have to do anything because it will quietly tick over by itself. You can actually see the meter ticking!
It seems to me that it would be stupid not to take advantage.
FOOTNOTE:
According to Udi Oz, the new Adsense system is being unrolled slowly so that Triond can test it all. A few writers at a time have been invited to join while they are testing. Then, once it is running properly, everyone will be able to sign up if they wish to. Thanks, Udi.

In other words instead of having Yahoo! pay-per-view ads on your articles you will have Google pay-per-click ads on your articles. So what’s the advantage? Unless there is some real advantage changing from one to the other makes no sense.

Google pay per click earning is more than yahoo….

Guy Hogan: It isn’t a case of changing over. The Google ads run as well as Triond’s Yahoo ones, and if you have an Adsense account you will earn 50% of the revenue from ads. The ads are geared to the article. This works well on Hubpages so it should increase earnings here.
I can already see a second revenue stream showing up on my dashboard.

“I should have learned to play the guitar…” – sorry, the term “Money for Nothing” sent me on an ’80s flashback. Seriously, I’m intrigued by this. Is anyone concerned that the additional ads will detract from the aesthetic appearance of the articles? I think I’m going to test it. Thanks for making me aware of this.

The existings ads are stuck all over articles and ruin carefully laid out articles, making photographs look badly positioned text inexpertly laid out. So I don’t think this could make it any worse.
October 23rd, 2009 at 3:40 pm
Thanks for the information .But how can we subscribe to it?
October 23rd, 2009 at 3:58 pm
Same question. Is it possible to configure adsense on existing content, or only during submission?
October 23rd, 2009 at 5:34 pm
Mine is configured on old articles too.
I have asked Triond to explain where the link has gone and I will post here when I get a reply.

October 24th, 2009 at 6:14 pm

October 24th, 2009 at 11:03 pm

Louie & all,
We have launched the Triond/Google AdSense integration just a few days ago.
We have started with only a small number of users so we can check that the integration is working properly on a small scale. As things are looking good so far, we are enrolling more users every day and eventually this opportunity will be available to all Triond users.

Thanks Udi, you have solved the mystery of the missing link! LOL
October 25th, 2009 at 7:21 am
i have a question for Udi. does adsense in Triond works in the same way as other ads work here, i.e., the users don\’t need to open accounts with these ad agencies. or is it different for adsense and the users need their own accounts?
October 25th, 2009 at 7:29 am
the SVK: I do explain in the article that Adsense requires an Adsense account and is paid separately. Please read the article.
By the way, this isn’t place to ask Udi questions!
October 26th, 2009 at 8:59 pm
Everyone over in the Triond forum is going crazy over this. They’re ticked not everyone can sign up now. Sounds like in time we all will be able to, though.
October 28th, 2009 at 6:52 pm
I started with my adsense ads on Triond yesterday and as of today, I already earned $1.04. Isn’t it great ? Yap, by doing nothing (meaning from my old articles), I earned that amount and I know it will keep on increasing. Adsense really works for me not only on Triond but also on my blogs and in the other sites where I write. Thank you Triond for this brilliant idea! More power!
October 31st, 2009 at 5:48 pm
I just started today with adsense on my Triond articles (just set it up today on my dashboard.) Not sure if my ads are showing yet, but I’m approved. I’m excited to see what the potential earnings will be. Thanks Triond!

This brings hope. Thanks for posting this article, Louie. I hope to be able to integrate my Adsense soon.
