Recently, I have received a high volume of questions regarding how to add pictures and links to articles. The most effective way to do this is to utilize Triond’s Online Editor feature. This article will outline the step-by-step procedures to easily add invaluable images and web links to your work.

Triond’s Online Editor is a wonderful tool. It allows writers the ability to publish work directly into their convenient formatting system and even save drafts for later. But, what if you want to include a perfect picture or link to another source? How do you go about doing this?

Step 1: Above you will notice the yellow box which says “insert image”. Click on the highlighted icon.

Step 2: Once you click on that icon, the above window will pop up. Click the “Browse” button and choose the picture you want to upload.
(Before doing this step you need to have saved the picture of your choice to your computer.)

Step 3: After you choose the image you want from the “Browse” feature, it will automatically populate into your article like the image above.
Step 4: Notice how the words “Picture Source” can be seen below the picture. You must manually type this into your work if you are adding pictures that are not your own.
(Please note: Just as you would list references for the research you conduct for an article, you must do so for any pictures you use to enhance the quality of your work.)

Step 5: Notice how the words “Picture Source” are highlighted. Anytime you want to add a link to your work you must highlight it first. You can type anything you want your link to say. For example, if you want to put a link in your article to a previous piece you have published, simply type “The Name of Your Article” and be sure to highlight it.
Step 6: After the text of your choice is highlighted, click the icon above that says “Insert/edit link”.

Step 7: After you click the “Insert/edit link” icon, the small window will appear.

Step 8: Type in the web address you wish to link to in the “Link URL” field above. For example, if you are linking to a past article, copy and paste the http web address. If you are not certain what this is, here is an example. If you wanted to link to Triond, the http address would be http://www.triond.com.
Step 9: Next in the “Title” field you can simply type in “Picture Source” or “The Name of Your Article”, whatever you are linking to. I have found that you can simply type “Source” and this is sufficient. It saves time, especially when you are adding multiple links to your work.
Step 10: When you are finished, click “Insert”.

Step 11: You will notice that the words “Picture Source” have now changed to a blue color. This means that the linking process was successful.
Happy linking and picture adding to all!
