How to Publish Articles on The Net

To publish articles on the World Wide Net, you must first become a writer. And to do that you must enjoy writing. You will sit at your computer studying and typing out your articles while others are out playing and enjoying fun and outings. You must love writing more than all those other things you could be doing. If that is you, then you have a good chance of publishing your articles on the Net and earning income from your writing.

If you want to publish articles on the Internet you first must become a writer, You must sit at your computer typing while others are out eating, exercising and doing all manner of interesting activities. You must rack your brain to find interesting subjects to write about that people will want to read. Read books, newspapers and magazines. Listen to the news and see what people are talking about. Keep your eyes and ears open when you are out and about. You never know what interesting subject you will hear about that you can publish as an article on the Net.

Readers on the net hail from all over the world. It’s just as easy for someone to read your article in the Philippines as in Tennessee. Think local with global appeal. Use details that people from everywhere can relate to. Net readers want to know real people. I think it comes from the fact that every Bob and Bobette can have equal billing with the Web Wide big wigs. Although the Internet is a global gathering, your articles on the Net are being read by one person at a time. Don’t shy away from your own opinions. Not that you have to bash anybody over the head with them. But do let people know where you stand.

You don’t even have to use standard English in your articles. Let your vernacular and personality show through. If your article on the Net is a book review, people want to know what you think about it, and why you choose this book to write about? Were you reading it sitting in your front porch swing or snuggled up on the couch? Net readers want and expect to connect with you as well as your article.

Fast paced articles go over best on the Net. You have to hook your readers and hook them fast. People want to gobble up points of interest and be on their way to somewhere else. Net users have so many options available on line, inattention is only a click away. Net users don’t want to scroll and scroll to finish an article. Brevity is of the utmost important so don’t be afraid to condense.
