The Exciting World of Romance Novel Writing

Many aspiring writers are thinking where and how to start writing a novel. These pointers are simply done for you.

Romance novel writing is the ability to express yourself; your dreams, your weaknesses, your strengths.  It is a release of pent-up emotions.  A self-vehicle where you can extend your feelings to the limit, no boundaries, no time.  It is also a chance to bring satisfaction to most people who, even in brief moments, can travel to the world of fantasy and are relieved temporarily from their heartaches and pains.

Reading is also an important factor in writing a novel.  It makes you familiarized with its pros and cons, thus, making yourself prepared for it.

There are actually many pointers in writing a romance novel.  The following are simply done for you.

Determination.  The writer should be optimistic.  Try to eliminate disappointment and frustration in your writing world.  There is nothing more important than making yourself interested in your own work.  If your manuscript has been disapproved, make a better one.  Avoid counting the stories that have been rejected but rather foresee the right story which might be accepted.

Confidence.  If you have this drive, you can make the best out of your mind.  A confident writer can think positively, thus, making the ideas easier to collect and lay down.

The Plot.  The implementation of the story has something to do with how you focus on the highlights.  Conflicts are set to excite the readers.  If you intend to do all the explanations in the beginning chapters, you might lose their interests much as well avoid your book the next time they drop by at the bookstore.

Characterization.  Your characters must fit well in the story.  Creating the heroes and heroines is as important as setting the plot.  You must not craft a character that is totally opposite of what is asked in the story.  For example, an outspoken and unconventional heroine cannot fit in the story where the need for a demure and reserved heroine is strongly needed.  Moreover, a hero can be hot-tempered sometimes but has the potential of being a good lover.  Make your characters as natural as they can be in reality.

The Setting.  The right place compliments your story.  In as much as you would like to include all the beautiful locations that you want, select the appropriate.  Choosing the most unwanted place just because you want it to be there is a big No in romance novel writing.

Word Construction.  Make it simple.  Scattered thoughts can make your story worst.  The ability to express the words clearly is very important.  There is nothing more dull and uninteresting than dry and boring dialogues.  You can pretend that you were the hero or the heroine when executing the words.  Think of what possible things the heroine would answer when the hero tells her something that put her on challenge, or the other way around.

The Names.  Finally, it is important that you pay attention to what particular names should you use for your characters.  It is alright if you want to use your friends’ names but make sure that it fits to the personality of your characters.  There are hundreds of names that you can choose from but select the ones that should carry out the masculinity of the hero or the femininity of the heroine.
